There were 120 white students enrolled in Southern University Lab School School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 38.1% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Southern University Lab School School District welcomed 703 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 17.1% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the district.

Southern University Lab School School District roughly covers schools within East Baton Rouge Parish and has a main office in Baton Rouge.

Among the two schools in Southern University Lab School School District, Southern University Laboratory Virtual School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 119 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
