Pointe Coupee Parish Education: 878 white students were enrolled in schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 878 white students enrolled in Pointe Coupee Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 8.1% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Pointe Coupee Parish welcomed 2,437 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, white students comprised 36% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the five schools within the parish, Livonia High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 359 students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
