Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 2% of West Feliciana Parish School District’s student body in 2021-22 school year

There were 43 Hispanic students enrolled in West Feliciana Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 16.2% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that West Feliciana Parish School District welcomed 2,185 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 2% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the district.

West Feliciana Parish School District roughly covers schools within West Feliciana Parish and has a main office in St. Francisville.

Among the five schools in West Feliciana Parish School District, West Feliciana High School and West Feliciana Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 13 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
