BATON ROUGE, LA — City-Parish offices will be closed on December 25th and January 1st in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, respectively. There will be no curbside garbage, recycling or out-of-cart services on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Garbage and recycling collection will resume on the residents’ next regularly scheduled collection day. Out-of-cart services for residents with Monday collection will be serviced on Saturday, December 30th.

In addition, the North Landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The Republic Services recycling drop-off center, located at 7933 Tom Drive, operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will continue to accept recyclables during the holidays.

Any residents who need to report a missed garbage or recycling service, request a recycling cart, or report other garbage or recycling related issues should contact the City-Parish by dialing 3-1-1 or 225-389-3090, going online to http://311.brla.gov, or download the free Red Stick 311 app on Apple or Android devices.
