305 students were enrolled for 9th grade in West Baton Rouge Parish schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 305 ninth grade students enrolled in West Baton Rouge Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.3% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Brusly High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within West Baton Rouge Parish schools, the most students were found in third grade classes, while 11th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, West Baton Rouge Parish ranked 28th lowest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 25th lowest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
