There were 4,436 students enrolled in Iberville Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.3% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.8% of them were boys, and 49.2% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black or African American, representing 66.9% of the Iberville Parish School District total enrollment.

Iberville Parish School District covers approximately seven schools within Iberville Parish, with its main office in Plaquemine.

Among the seven schools in Iberville Parish School District, Plaquemine Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,300 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
