There were 1,020 students enrolled in City of Baker School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 9.8% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.7% of them were boys, and 48.3% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black or African American, representing 92.5% of the City of Baker School District total enrollment.

City of Baker School District covers approximately four schools within East Baton Rouge Parish, with its main office in Baker.

Among the four schools in City of Baker School District, Baker High School recorded the highest enrollment of 399 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
