Of the 17,699 people living in Zachary in 2020, 49.4 percent (8,750) were women and 50.6 percent (8,949) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Baton Rouge Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 88. In the 65 and over age range, there were 866 females and 741 males.
