Cost of college went up for all students at Denham Springs Beauty School

Tuition and fees rose 0.8 percent for 2018-19 at Denham Springs Beauty School, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana students paid $13,100 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $600 more than the $12,500 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 59 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 29 students received grants or scholarships totaling $104,760 and 27 students took out student loans totaling more than $150,625.

Including all undergraduates (77), 52 students used grants or scholarships totaling $218,399, and 54 students took out $319,823 in federal student loans.
