Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 2.5% of East Feliciana Parish's student body in 2023-24 school year

There were 43 Hispanic students enrolled in East Feliciana Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 34.4% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that East Feliciana Parish welcomed 1,697 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 2.5% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the eight schools within the parish, Slaughter Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 13 students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
