West Feliciana Parish Education: 36 Hispanic students were enrolled in schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 36 Hispanic students enrolled in West Feliciana Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 10% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that West Feliciana Parish welcomed 2,189 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 1.6% of the student body to be the third least represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the four schools within the parish, Bains Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 14 students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
