There were 49 Hispanic students enrolled in City of Baker School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.5% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that City of Baker School District welcomed 1,020 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 4.8% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the district.

City of Baker School District roughly covers schools within East Baton Rouge Parish and has a main office in Baker.

Among the five schools in City of Baker School District, Baker Heights Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 24 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
