Census Bureau: More women than men in East Baton Rouge Parish in 2021

Of the 455,447 people living in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana in 2021, 52% (236,987) were women and 48% (218,460) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by Baton Rouge Reporter.

Data showed the average age for women in East Baton Rouge Parish in 2021 was 36 years, lower than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, women aged 18 and over outnumbered men in the same age group by 10,971. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 28,050 men and 37,443 women.
