The only school district in East Feliciana Parish suffered declining enrollment in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

There were 1,691 students in the halls of East Feliciana Parish School District schools, 0.2% lower than the year before.

Enrollment in East Feliciana Parish was steady compared to the state’s trend of decreasing enrollment.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.9% of them were boys, and 49.1% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Black or African American, representing 57.6% of the East Feliciana Parish School Districts total enrollment.

East Feliciana Parish School District has a main office in Clinton and is the only school district within East Feliciana Parish.

The majority of Louisiana students were either white (48%) or Black (37%) in the 2021-22 school year.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students in Louisiana, which is worse than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
