2021-22 School Year Enrollment: 192 9th grade students welcomed in Pointe Coupee Parish schools

There were 192 ninth grade students enrolled in Pointe Coupee Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 9% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Livonia High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Pointe Coupee Parish schools, the most students were found in fifth grade classes, while 12th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Pointe Coupee Parish ranked 17th lowest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 16th lowest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
