Central Community School District Education: 4,865 students were enrolled in 2021-22 school year

There were 4,865 students enrolled in Central Community School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.1% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.2% of them were boys, and 47.8% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 68.2% of the Central Community School District total enrollment.

Central Community School District covers approximately five schools within East Baton Rouge Parish, with its main office in Baton Rouge.

Among the five schools in Central Community School District, Central High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,467 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
