Event Details

In honor of the 210th anniversary of Jane Austen's most beloved novel, Pride and Prejudice, the library will host a tea on Saturday, January 28 at 1 p.m. in the Plaquemine library meeting room. Come and enjoy warm tea with lovely table settings featuring finger sandwiches and assorted sweet goodies. We will also listen to some period music and a watch a brief presentation about Jane Austen. Afterwards, we will have some fun with trivia while we sip our tea and enjoy our treats.

Feel free to wear a pretty hat, period dress or come as you are! As a special treat we will have a Jane Austen impersonator stop by for a visit. This program is for ages 16 and up. Everything is provided but you can bring your own teacup and saucer if you like.

Seating is limited so register early by going to the website www.myipl.org and click upcoming events.
