Capital Region Celebrates Over $10B in Capital Investments Over Three Years | Baton Rouge Area Chamber
BATON ROUGE, La. (December 14, 2022) — The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) yesterday celebrated 39 companies who made the decision to locate or expand in the Capital Region from 2020 to now. The companies represented 45 economic development project wins, over $10B in capital expenditures, and 3,600 new jobs.
“The Capital Region has seen tremendous economic project activity spanning numerous industries over the last three years,” said Russell Richardson, BRAC’s senior vice president of business development. “We don’t plan to stop here though. Under our five-year strategic plan, BRING IT!, we are focused on nurturing and attracting companies in our emerging sectors that would best take advantage of our most competitive assets – our production of skilled top talent, including trades workers and college-educated talent, and our innovation capacity. Through strong partnerships with our region’s parish leaders, we are confident, together, we can further drive industry diversification in the region.”
