Of the 222,191 people living in Baton Rouge in 2020, 52.9 percent (117,517) were women and 47.1 percent (104,674) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Baton Rouge Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 7,006. In the 65 and over age range, there were 20,178 females and 12,525 males.
