Of the 29,235 people living in Central in 2020, 49.6 percent (14,514) were women and 50.4 percent (14,721) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Baton Rouge Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 576. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,293 females and 2,347 males.
