Of the 4,500 people living in New Roads in 2020, 48.8 percent (2,195) were women and 51.2 percent (2,305) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Baton Rouge Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 23. In the 65 and over age range, there were 489 females and 465 males.
