The Baton Rouge, LA metro area ranks first in trade with Peru with exports of $792.8 million in 2019, according to the International Trade Administration (ITA).

The Baton Rouge, LA area includes St. Helena Parish, West Feliciana Parish and East Feliciana Parish counties and is the 41st largest metro area with a population of 854,318.

The International Trade Administration (ITA) promotes trade and investments in the United States through data aggregation and studies on global markets and specific U.S. regions. ITA utilizes its research to negotiate on behalf of U.S. industries and is also responsible for enforcing trade agreements.
