Census Bureau: More women than men in Pointe Coupee Parish in 2019

Of the 22,016 people living in Pointe Coupee Parish in 2019, 52 percent (11,442) were women and 48 percent (10,574) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Baton Rouge Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 6,505-to-6,160. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,487 females and 1,957 males.
