Cost of college went up for all students at Moore Career College

Tuition and fees rose 12.6 percent for 2018-19 at Moore Career College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana students paid $18,495 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $2,065 more than the $16,430 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 64 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 40 students received grants or scholarships totaling $210,000 and 43 students took out student loans totaling more than $290,138.

Including all undergraduates (108), 102 students used grants or scholarships totaling $410,754, and 102 students took out $675,311 in federal student loans.
