Quinncia, an AI-powered platform, is now available to Louisiana State University (LSU) students and alumni to help improve their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview skills. The tool aims to address a common problem faced by job seekers: automated Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) used by many employers often reject 75-80% of resumes due to formatting issues before a recruiter even reviews them.

The LSU Olinde Career Center offers free resume reviews and templates for students and alumni. Quinncia complements these services by providing instant feedback on uploaded resumes. Users receive analysis highlighting critical issues such as missing bullet points or incomplete education details, as well as suggestions for improvement like adding a LinkedIn profile. The platform allows in-platform editing so users can make revisions directly within the system.

Quinncia also provides insights into ATS compatibility, identifying formatting or keyword problems that might prevent a resume from passing automated screenings. It offers best-practice guidance on structure, formatting, and content prioritization.

For those starting from scratch, Quinncia’s Resume Creator guides users through building an ATS-friendly document step-by-step.

The platform extends its support beyond resumes with virtual mock interviews tailored to specific industries and roles. Users can practice at any time and receive detailed AI-generated feedback on clarity, content, and delivery within an hour. Recordings of these sessions are available for review but can be deleted afterward for privacy.

Mini-practice sessions are also offered for self-assessment questions, analytical thinking scenarios, behavioral questions about teamwork or leadership, and industry-specific knowledge. These mini sessions are not graded.

According to the LSU Career Center: “Our team is committed to ensuring every student has ample opportunities to gain experience, grow their network, and communicate their aptitude for a chosen career long before graduation. We believe LSU students are unparalleled in their potential to step into leadership, solve problems, and elevate the workforce for the benefit of all.”

LSU encourages pairing AI tools like Quinncia with personalized support from the Career Center to maximize job search success.
