The LSU women’s golf team will finish its regular season with the Clemson Invitational, which begins March 26 at The Reserve at Lake Keowee course in Sunset, South Carolina.

This event marks the last team competition for LSU before the Southeastern Conference championship. The tournament features a field of 16 teams, including eight ranked among the top 50 nationally. Host Clemson is joined by Arkansas (ranked eighth), Florida (fourth), Kent State (27th), Mississippi (18th), Ohio State (39th), Tennessee (20th), Vanderbilt (15th) and LSU, which is ranked 30th.

The course is a Jack Nicklaus design on Lake Keowee’s shoreline and will play as a par-72 with a maximum length of 6,489 yards for this tournament. The lineup for LSU includes Elsa Svensson and Francesca Fiorellini, both coming off top-10 finishes in their previous event—the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas. Svensson finished third with rounds of 74-70-75 for a total score of three-over-par 219. Fiorellini shot two-under-par over her final two rounds to tie for seventh place at seven-over-par 223.

Svensson is currently ranked No. 48 and Fiorellini No. 52 nationally according to NCAA Scoreboard rankings; both players improved their standings significantly after their recent performances—Svensson moved up by seventy spots while Fiorellini advanced thirty-two positions following the Betsy Rawls Invitational.

Other members competing for LSU are senior Taylor Riley, sophomore Rocio Tejedo and freshman Lucia Iraola. Season scoring averages include Fiorellini at 72.05 strokes per round, Svensson at 72.38 and Riley at 72.92.
