The LSU women’s basketball team, ranked No. 12 nationally, is set to face No. 2 Texas on Sunday afternoon at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge. This matchup marks LSU’s first game against an Associated Press Top 2 opponent since their meeting with UCLA in the 2025 NCAA Elite Eight.

The contest, part of the Tigers’ fourth game in the 2025-26 Southeastern Conference schedule, will begin at 2 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN with Beth Mowins and Rebecca Lobo providing commentary. Fans can also listen via the LSU Sports Radio Network.

LSU supporters are encouraged to attend the “White Out” event by wearing white attire. LED wristbands and white shirts will be provided for attendees, with doors opening at 1 p.m.

LSU enters the game holding a 15-2 overall record and a 1-2 mark in SEC play. The upcoming game represents the eleventh meeting between LSU and Texas, with Texas leading the series 7-4 overall. However, LSU has won two out of three games played against Texas in Baton Rouge.

Their last encounter occurred during the 2025 SEC Tournament when Texas defeated LSU 65-49. Texas has claimed victory in each of their last three meetings, while LSU’s most recent win over Texas came in March 2004 during the NCAA Sweet 16.

In their previous outing, senior Flau’jae Johnson led LSU to an 80-59 win over Georgia by scoring a season-high 25 points along with four rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. Johnson surpassed the milestone of 1,800 career points at LSU during that game.

Junior MiLaysia Fulwiley contributed 18 points along with four rebounds and four blocks against Georgia. Senior Amiya Joyner recorded her fifth double-double of the season with twelve points and eleven rebounds; freshman ZaKiyah Johnson also scored twelve points.

Currently, LSU leads all Division I programs in several statistical categories including bench points per game (45.2), field goal percentage (54.1), total rebounds (837), rebound margin (20.2), offensive rebounds per game (18.6), scoring margin (46.5), and scoring offense (101.8).
