LSU junior Trent Caraway has been ranked No. 29 on D1 Baseball’s list of the Top 50 College Third Basemen for the 2026 season.

Caraway, who comes from Dana Point, California, transferred to LSU after two seasons at Oregon State. During his time with the Beavers from 2024 to 2025, he achieved a .281 batting average, recorded 88 hits in 313 at-bats, and collected 20 doubles, 14 home runs, 57 RBIs, and scored 67 runs.

He was named the Most Outstanding Player at the NCAA Corvallis Regional in 2025. In that year’s NCAA Tournament, Caraway hit six home runs—the most by any player in Oregon State’s tournament history—and helped lead his team to a berth in the College World Series.

Last month, Perfect Game placed Caraway at No. 54 on its list of the Top 100 Collegiate Juniors for the upcoming season.

The LSU Tigers are scheduled to begin their season on Friday, February 13 at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field against Milwaukee.
