As a team, LSU is batting .272 with 168 hits and leads the SEC with 43 stolen bases this season. Key players for LSU include Jayden Heavener, who leads the pitching staff with eight complete games and two shutouts, as well as Jalia Lassiter and Sierra Daniel leading offensively in batting average and walks drawn respectively. Char Lorenz is currently on a fourteen-game reached base streak.
Texas A&M comes into the series after an eight-day break following a loss to Texas State. The Aggies feature one of the top offenses in college softball this year, ranking among national leaders in several categories such as batting average (.362), slugging percentage (.613), runs batted in (178), and home runs (37). Mya Perez leads their lineup with ten home runs while Kennedy Powell tops the team in hits and stolen bases.
