The LSU swimming and diving team earned two All-American honors on March 26 during the second day of the 2026 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
The achievements highlight a strong showing for LSU as athletes continue to compete against top collegiate programs. These performances contribute to the team’s standing and reflect individual progress for several swimmers making their championship debuts.
Jere Hribar opened Thursday’s preliminaries by finishing tenth in the 200-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 1:31.30, tying the school record set by Brooks Curry in 2023. This result secured Hribar Honorable Mention All-American status. In Thursday’s finals session, Diggory Dillingham, Hribar, Stepan Goncharov, and Simon Meubry finished thirteenth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:15.61, earning Honorable Mention All-American recognition as well. The event marked Dillingham’s and Meubry’s first appearance at an NCAA Championship.
Volodymyr Lisovets also competed individually on Thursday, placing twenty-fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 51.87 seconds. In diving events, Carson Paul took part in his first competition of these championships and finished twenty-eighth in the one-meter springboard with a score of 297.95 points.
At the end of day two, LSU had accumulated twenty-nine points overall to rank sixteenth among competing teams; Texas led all schools with over two hundred points.
