LSU softball ranked No. 19 and No. 20 in national polls for week 12

LSU softball moved to No. 19 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll and No. 20 in the NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll, according to an April 28 announcement.

The rankings reflect LSU’s performance over the season as they approach the end of regular play. The team is also ranked No. 19 in the Softball America Poll and No. 20 in the D1Softball Poll, with an RPI ranking of No. 13, a strength of schedule at No. 4, and a non-conference strength of schedule at No. 11.

Last weekend, LSU dropped its series against Mississippi State by two games to one in Starkville, Mississippi.

The Tigers will conclude their regular season with four home games at Tiger Park, starting Tuesday night with a midweek game against McNeese State University before hosting Auburn for a three-game series from April 30 through May 2.
