The LSU men’s track and field team is adding sprinter Jayden DeLeon to its roster for the Class of 2026, according to an announcement from Head Coach Dennis Shaver.
DeLeon currently runs for The House Running Club and attends Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, Maryland. He is from Elkridge, Maryland.
In the 2025 outdoor season, DeLeon set personal bests at the New Balance Nationals. He ran the 200 meters in 21.03 seconds and achieved a time of 46.33 seconds in the 400 meters at the same event.
This season, DeLeon won the 400 meters at The CIRCUIT Philly with an indoor time of 46.86 seconds. At the Puma New York International Showcase, he finished third in the 300 meters with a time of 32.75 seconds, which ranks as the fifth fastest ever by a high school athlete in the United States.
DeLeon’s other personal records include times of 6.48 seconds for the 55 meters, 6.93 seconds for the 60 meters, and 10.71 seconds for the 100 meters.
