LSU women’s basketball was prominently featured on the 2026 All-Louisiana women’s basketball team, according to an April 20 announcement. Guards Flau’jae Johnson and MiLaysia Fulwiley received special recognition for their performances during the season.
Johnson was named Louisiana’s player of the year, while Fulwiley earned newcomer of the year honors. Both players were selected for All-Louisiana teams, with Johnson and fellow guard Mikaylah Williams making the first team, and Fulwiley earning a spot on the second team.
Johnson completed her four-year career at LSU by starting all 35 games in the recent season. She averaged 14.2 points per game and reached double digits in scoring in 27 contests. Johnson also became one of only fourteen active college players during the season to surpass 2,000 career points. Her achievements included selection to national All-America lists and being a finalist for a national shooting guard award.
Williams contributed significantly as well, leading LSU in several statistical categories such as three-point field goals made and assists. She reached personal milestones including more than 1,500 career points and over 500 rebounds during key matchups this season.
Fulwiley emerged as one of LSU’s top scorers off the bench, averaging over fourteen points per game and leading the Tigers with ninety-nine steals—a mark that ranks third all-time at LSU for steals in a single season. She was also recognized as SEC Sixth Woman of the Year for a second consecutive time.
The article highlights that LSU’s offensive output set new records this year, including scoring more than one hundred points sixteen times—a new NCAA Division I record—and averaging ninety-five points per game across thirty-five games.
