On Sunday, March 22, the LSU Lady Tigers, featuring former Episcopal High School basketball standout Izzy Besselman, defeated the Texas Tech Lady Raiders 101-47 in the NCAA Tournament.
Pete Maravich Assembly Center hosted the contest beginning at 2:05 p.m.
LSU Lady Tigers are set to play their next game at Golden 1 Center on Friday, March 27 at 12 a.m.
Shawnti Jackson led LSU track at their final regular-season meet by clocking a collegiate-best win in the women’s 100m dash. Several other athletes also achieved notable performances at Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
These former Baton Rouge Metro area high school athletes will take part in events on Sunday, May 3.
Southern University’s track and field team delivered several top performances at this year’s South Alabama Jaguar Invitational on May 1, including an individual win by Marcus Delcy and multiple podium finishes across sprints, distance races, throws, hurdles, and jumps events.
