LSU Beach Volleyball to compete in Gulf Front Invitational April 17-18

The No. 13 LSU Beach Volleyball team will compete in the Gulf Front Invitational on April 17 and 18 in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The Tigers are scheduled to play against Mercer, South Florida, FGCU, and No. 5 Florida State.

Head coach Russell Brock said, “This weekend will be a great test. We face some new teams, some we’ve faced before and some really talented teams.”

The team’s schedule begins Friday morning with a match against Mercer at 10:30 AM Central Time, followed by South Florida at 1:00 PM Central Time. On Saturday, LSU continues with matches against FGCU at 8:00 AM Central Time and No. 5 Florida State at 11:45 AM Central Time.

Brock also commented on the opportunity for growth during the tournament. “It will be a great opportunity to see how we’ve improved as we head towards the post season. I’m looking forward to building again and continuing to push forward in our growth. I have high expectations for our performance.”
