Kali Howard, a former standout at Zachary High School now playing for the Jacksonville Dolphins, is set to compete in the NCAA Tournament.
Jacksonville, seeded 15th, will go up against the No. 2 LSU Lady Tigers in the opening round.
The opening game is scheduled for Friday, March 20, at 6 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
LSU’s Princesse Hyman has been named Southeastern Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for a second time this outdoor season after strong discus performances. She currently ranks among top competitors nationally and within her conference.
These former Baton Rouge Metro area high school standouts will be competing on Wednesday, April 29.
LSU will host McNeese for its final midweek softball game of the season on April 28 at Tiger Park. Both teams bring strong records into this matchup, which will be streamed live online.
