On Saturday, Nov. 15, former Slaughter Community Charter School standout Elijah Henderson’s current collegiate team the Kentucky State Thorobreds won 35-7 against the Shorter Hawks in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The game took place at Alumni Stadium at 2 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Shorter Hawks in the tournament.

The Kentucky State Thorobreds’ next game will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. at Setzler Field.
