The tuition fee at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University rose by 0.5% for the 2022-23 school year, as revealed in the most recent disclosure, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students enrolled at the four-year private, not-for-profit institution paid $15,012 this year, an increase of $398 from the $14,614 charged during the 2021-22 academic year.

Approximately 99% of the university’s undergraduate students are residents of Louisiana, while about 1% come from other states.

Data indicates that 97% of full-time undergraduates who began their studies at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in 2022-23 received some form of student financial aid. Among them, 64 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $732,982, and 33 students obtained student loans amounting to over $225,651.

Across all undergraduate students, 769 received grants or scholarships totaling $5.5 million, while 429 students secured federal student loans totaling $3.2 million.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
