The Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute-Baton Rouge reported a 2.7% tuition hike for the 2022-23 school year, based on the most recent disclosure, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students paid $19,000 to attend the private for-profit institution this year, which is $500 more than the $18,500 charged during the 2021-22 academic year.

All undergraduate students enrolled at the school are residents of Louisiana.

Data indicates that every full-time undergraduate who began studies at the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute-Baton Rouge in 2022-23 received some form of financial aid. Specifically, 60 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $414,997, while 72 students took out student loans exceeding $815,365.

Across the entire undergraduate body, 171 students received grants or scholarships amounting to $1.3 million. Additionally, 175 students borrowed $1.6 million in federal student loans.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
