Baton Rouge Area Chamber issued the following announcement on April 12.

BATON ROUGE, La. (April 12, 2022) — The Baton Rouge  Area Chamber (BRAC) and Forum 225 today announced that it will host the  inaugural Baton Rouge Area YP Summit on June 2, 2022.

“Introducing the Baton Rouge Area’s large young professional talent  network to the region and all it has to offer is a key component to  bolstering the region’s talent pipeline,” said Adam Knapp, president and  CEO of BRAC. “Through young professional engagement in the Baton Rouge  community, we hope to instill a sense of pride and belonging that will  encourage them to plant roots and grow their careers here.”

The Summit will take place at Manship Theatre, featuring a keynote  presentation by Kenny Nguyen, local entrepreneur and previous Forbes 30  Under 30 honoree, break-out sessions, a civic leaders roundtable, and a  happy hour. The goal of the YP Summit is to teach area young  professionals how to navigate the professional waters of Baton Rouge and  how to level up their careers through interactive and informational  presentations led by some of Baton Rouge’s most active and influential  young professionals.

“The YP Summit is so much more than leadership development and  prepping young professionals to move up in the workplace, it will  encourage young professionals to find their place in our community and  share Baton Rouge’s story,” said Ethan Melancon, president of Forum 225.  “At Forum 225, we are committed to giving young professionals  opportunities to become the next community leaders, and we believe this  conference will introduce them to numerous avenues to get involved in  Baton Rouge.”

Event registration is available at brac.org/events.  Registration for the full-day conference, which includes access to all  programming, lunch, happy hour and a six-month membership to Forum 225,  is $50 for an individual ticket.

Additional event information, including the full event agenda, will be released at brac.org/events as available.

The event is sponsored by ExxonMobil and Campus Federal. Additional  sponsorships are still available. Interested organizations can contact  BRAC’s Michelle Mahaffey LeJeune at michelle.lejeune@brac.org for more information.
