In the week ending Feb. 21, one gas station in Pointe Coupee Parish sold midgrade gas at the lowest reported price of $2.64 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Reported prices for midgrade gas in Pointe Coupee Parish averaged $2.73 per gallon.

Among 24 gas stations in cities within Pointe Coupee Parish, two offered midgrade gas.

The statewide average price of midgrade gas in Louisiana was $2.87 per gallon for the week ending Feb. 21, an increase from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
