There were six gas stations in cities across East Baton Rouge Parish selling regular gas at the lowest price of $2.04 per gallon in the week ending Jan. 10, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Regular gas prices averaged $2.31 per gallon in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Of the 198 reported gas stations located within East Baton Rouge Parish, 94 offered regular gas.
Across Louisiana, the average reported price for a gallon of regular gas remained unchanged at $2.37, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects global oil stockpiles to keep growing into 2026, a trend that could weigh on crude prices in the near term.
